lyrics

I was a little bit surprised,
When I looked into those gleaming glistening eyes
I was not prepared to see... a girl who looked so fine to me
Sitting there all dressed in black, with a big tattoo upon her back
I started walking up her way - I couldn't think what to say.

Then, suddenly, her eyes looked up to mine,
And my vision began to blur.
I've never seen a girl looking so fine.
She motioned me to come to her.

And so I tried to play it cool - I felt like such a stupid tool
I asked for her name, and I gave her mine.
She said, "It (didn't) matter, but you'll do just fine."
Before I had any time to think, I started to order her a drink.
She drank it down with a wild look on her face,
And asked me if I wanted to go to her place...

<INSTRUMENTAL>

I felt a chill down to the depths of my soul
Things were happening way too fast
I must have been under her control
Her spell on me had been cast.

She asked me if I wanted to go and play
We went to her place across the way
She threw me down upon her bed
I looked into her eyes, and they were turning red.
I shook and I shuddered in disbelief,
When I looked up and noticed she had pointed teeth
Suddenly, I knew what this meant,
But I fell in a trance, and my will became bent.

I tried to put up some resistance.
It was my soul I was trying to save.
But I can't be doomed to this mortal existence,
And, so, I became her slave.
She said, "Now, you're a Denizen of the night,
Your mortal life has come to an end.
You will be taught to fear the light,
And darkness will be your friend!"

Blaaah!
